Registering with OPTA
The Telecommunications Act stipulates that any business which is active in the electronic communications market in the Netherlands must register with OPTA if it provides:
- public electronic communications networks;
- public electronic communications services;
- or installs related facilities.
Registration
If you are a party that is required to register with OPTA, you may use the following form for this purpose:
- Notification of the provision of public electronic communications activities
- Modification or termination of the provision of public electronic communications activities
NB. Providers of public electronic communications facilities and services have rights and duties. They are set out in the Telecommunications Act and any regulations issued pursuant to it. A list of these rights and duties may be found in the Overview of legal provisions.
